As the Island’s locally based housing association, we are proud of our strong community values and local identity. We are keen to ensure our Board continues to reflect a broad mix of professional backgrounds, perspectives and experiences as we plan for the future.

The Experience We Value

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who can bring strong financial, commercial or strategic leadership experience, ideally gained within commercial or regulated organisations.

Local Knowledge Matters

Alongside professional expertise, we would welcome applicants with a strong understanding of the Isle of Wight, local relationships and wider community or stakeholder awareness.

More Than Experience

Previous Board or governance experience is welcome but not essential. What matters most is sound judgement, a collaborative approach and a commitment to supporting safe, sustainable and community-focused housing services on the Island.

The Role

The role involves attendance at Board meetings and participation in governance activities throughout the year. The Board normally meets six times each year, typically at 10am on Wednesday mornings. Whilst face-to-face attendance is preferred, virtual attendance can be accommodated where appropriate. A flexible and supportive induction process will be provided.
