DIFFERENT WAYS IN WHICH YOU CAN PAY YOUR RENT

If you are not entitled to full housing benefit you are required to pay your rent weekly in advance.
You may make a payment in a number of ways

By personal visit to VECTIS HOUSING OFFICES

Our office is situated at 30 Carisbrooke Road, Newport, Isle of Wight

We are open
Monday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
Tuesday to Thursday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Friday 9.00 am to 4.00 pm

You can pay at the office by CASH, CHEQUE or POSTAL ORDER

By visiting any LOCAL POST OFFICE

We can order you a Girobank swipe card. This will take approximately 7 - 14 days to be supplied to you. Once you have received the card you can pay at a local Post Office.

You can pay by CASH, CHEQUE or POSTAL ORDER
At the counter, just hand over your rent payment with your sqipe card - the payment will be recorded
The counter staff will provide you with a receipt so you have proof that you have paid

By setting up a STANDING ORDER through your bank

A standing order will instruct yhour bank to pay rent from your account into Vectis Housing's bank account
You need to ask your bank for a standing order form
The standing order form will ask you to fill in details as follows

Details about your bank account
Details about our bank account (please ask us for these details if you choose this option at any time)
How much you want to pay and how often (ie. weekly, month)

Once you have completed all the details requested please take the form back to your bank so that they can process your request

By sending your payment through the POST

Sending money through the post is NOT RECOMMENDED
If you wish to use this method, however, please do so by CHEQUE or POSTAL ORDER only

We have two types of rent in properties owned by the Association

• Fair Rents that are set for Secure Tenants by the Independent Rent Officer
  
• Assured Rents that apply to tenancies granted since 1989
