Car clamping services After receiving many complaints over a number of years regarding unreasonable vehicle parking in several of its housing locations, the Association agreed to introduced a clamping service. The Association has contracted with Capricorn Clamping to provide this service. Clamping systems are currently in place at the Associations developments in Arctic Road, Cowes Acorn Gardens, East Cowes Queens Court, East Cowes Wayside Drive, Newport Jubilee Place, Ryde The Chase, Winford Badgers' Close, Wroxall Authorised vehicle users in this areas are provided with permits by the Association, free of charge, on an annual basis. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to look after and display the current permit clearly at all times whilst parking in their area. Explanations that permits have fallen from display, or failure to remember to place the permit in the windscreen as valid reasons for vehicles not to be clamped or to be released without charge, will NOT be accepted. Should a permit be lost or damaged, the following procedure should be followed - Immediately contact the Association who will notify Opium accordingly. This will avoid your vehicle being clamped until a replacement permit is issued. This period will not extend beyond 7 days however.
- Replacement permits will be provided, upon request to the Association, for which an administration charge of £1.50 per permit will be made. The Association will endeavour to issue any replacement permit within 48 hours of your request (weekends not included). The original/previous permit will become invalid upon the issue of the second permit, and all subsequent permits will be coded to that effect.
